Absolutely dissatisfied from the experience that this establishment has provided. My friend has brought her pet for a dental cleaning ( A very normal and routine procedure ). Unfortunately I have never seen the little dog so sick after this visit and it is clear that he had contracted a respiratory issue. The dog was taken for the cleaning on Monday and since then he has had several reactions, I then brought him back 4 days later on Friday for a follow up. The Vet Jacqueline V Larocca performed the cleaning and then in the same week does not even remember the procedure? The Hospital stated they will be taking care of the treatment to ensure he gets better after this horrible experience, to then set up an appointment a whole week apart (mind you the dog has been sick already for almost 2 weeks).
The date finally comes, for the hospital to not acknowledge the situation, and refusing to take care of the treatment stating that the dental cleaning has no possible impact or complications on the pets health. Do not. I repeat, do not bring your healthy pet to this place, you wont be doing it any good.

Banfield Boca Village doesn’t care about pets. My friend’s dog developed a testicular infection after a dental cleaning. Dr. LaRocca, who performed the dental cleaning, didn’t even bother to read the medical history during the follow-up to understand what was going on with Chewy. She simply said, “He is perfect.”

After this, my friend took him to Calusa Hospital, where they examined him thoroughly and confirmed that while he was healthy, he still needed additional care. He was far from “perfect,” as the doctor claimed.

Please do not take your dog here.

My friend trusted Banfield Hospital at Boca Village with her baby dog, and they failed her . After a dental cleaning, her dog came home sick and later developed a testicular infection. The care was so bad she had to seek help from another vet, after the follow up with Dr Larocca, saying that he was doing fine when he wasn’t. At the other vet prescribed more antibiotics and vitamins to help his recovery after this horrible testicular infection . Avoid this place—they prioritize profit over your pet’s well-being.
Please do not bring your dog to this place, you take your baby dog healthy and they will give your dog sick

I had the worst experience with Banfield Hospital at Boca Village. Initially, I trusted the reviews, but they turned out to be completely misleading. I took my dog there on November 11 for a dental cleaning under anesthesia, and they returned him to me sick. When I picked him up, he had a horrible smell and was clearly unwell.

Concerned, I brought him back for a check-up the following Friday because he still wasn’t feeling well. It turned out he had developed a testicular infection. During the next follow-up, Dr. Roy provided care to help him recover. However, my experience with Dr. LaRocca, who performed the dental cleaning and another check-up, was terrible. She claimed she didn’t know who my dog was or what had happened to him. She didn’t even bother to review his medical history to understand his condition.

Her work during the dental cleaning was subpar—his teeth still looked dirty—and her check-up was equally disappointing. I couldn’t trust her judgment when she insisted my dog was fine. To be sure, I took him to Calusa Vet for a second opinion, where they confirmed he still needed more antibiotics and vitamins to recover from everything he had been through. Yet, Dr. LaRocca claimed he was perfectly fine.

Please don’t bring your pets to this location. I trusted them with my healthy dog, and he ended up sick.

On top of this, when I decided to cancel my plan with them, they insisted I either pay for the dental cleaning or continue the plan. It’s clear they care more about money than the well-being of your pet.

I’ve always been so impressed with the doctors had Banfield. They have always gone up and above for my animals and show very much they care about them as little souls and not a money stream like other vets. A little extra thank you to all of the reception nurses and to Dr. Larocca

ANY time I need anything they are there and it’s the most appreciative and amazing thing for a pet owner to have that kind of security.

The hospital itself is very nice. Good staff, vets know what they’re doing etc. Any advice I could give is : DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE WELLNESS PLAN. I was basically tricked into signing up for it. It is not worth it at all. I was paying $77 a month and they failed to mention that it was a contract for 12 months. It was written in fine print so I guess I’m the idiot here. When I wanted to cancel it bc they charged me ridiculous prices when my dog was sick ran every test just to tell me that he was fine and nothing was wrong, i brought him to another vet charged me insanely less and told me what the problem was, they wouldn’t let me and insisted that I have to pay for the rest of the year even if I don’t use the services. It gets even better— I missed a few payments, they sent it to collections WITHOUT ANY NOTICE not an email not a phone call nothing and cancelled my plan saying that I still owe them money for the rest of the year even though my services were cancelled!! How can you cancel my plan but still make me pay for it Had to pay $500 for the rest of the year. THEY ARE AWFUL AND DONT REALLY CARE. GO TO ANY OTHER VET AND U WILL NEVER BE TREATED LIKE THIS
